Undergraduate Admissions Landing Pages
These landing pages were developed to support University of Kentucky’s undergraduate admissions digital marketing efforts. Paid campaigns directed prospective students to dedicated in-state and out-of-state pages, each optimized for clarity, conversion, and mobile use.
The challenge with these pages was timing. These pages needed to be turned around 5 calendar days (not business days) from assignment and needed tp support the university’s new “scrapbook” design, a tricky language to mimic on web.
The goal was to showcase all of the top reasons in-state and out-of state students would want to choose the university, from SEC sports to the greater Lexington, KY area.
This design included: Out of State Desktop, Out of State Mobile, In-State Desktop, and In-State Mobile pages.

Out-of-State Desktop Landing Page:
Hero banner featuring UK branding, the Wildcat mascot, and student life imagery paired with a bold admissions call-to-action.
Hero: We Want You to Wear Blue
What it does:
Immediately establishes identity and belonging. This section connects school spirit, student life, and the admissions call-to-action in a single, high-impact moment. Primary CTAs (“Explore” and “Apply Now”) are surfaced early to capture motivated users.
Closing section featuring student imagery and a bold apply call-to-action reinforcing the start of the college journey.
Final Conversion Push: It All Starts Here
What it does:
Closes the page with clarity and confidence. This section reinforces readiness, support, and next steps—ending with a strong, unmistakable “Apply Now.”
Grid of national rankings paired with a student testimonial highlighting life at UK.
Social Proof & Rankings
What it does:
Builds credibility through third-party validation. Rankings and testimonials help reduce uncertainty by showing that UK is widely recognized and positively experienced by students.
City and lifestyle imagery introducing Lexington, Kentucky as a welcoming college town.
Location Feature: Lexington, KY
What it does:
Positions location as a benefit, not an afterthought. This section reassures students and families by highlighting safety, accessibility, and quality of life.
Collection of UK athletics achievements and school spirit graphics celebrating championships and campus pride.
Athletics & School Spirit Highlights
What it does:
Showcases UK’s athletic culture as part of the broader college experience. This section appeals emotionally, reinforcing pride, tradition, and community beyond academics.
Call-to-action banner encouraging prospective students to explore or apply, overlaid on campus lifestyle imagery.
Final CTA: Make the Most of This Moment
What it does:
Re-engages users mid-scroll with a clear directional cue. This section reinforces urgency while offering a low-pressure choice between learning more and applying.
In-State - Desktop
The in-state and out of state layouts are nearly identical with one change to the sections referencing Lexington, KY and UK Athletics
In this alternate section, Lexington, KY is coupled with UK Athletics to save real-estate as in-state applicants are likely familiar with Lexington and the surrounding areas.
