Hey, I’m Jaiven👋🏾

A creative generalist with a focus on clarity, story, and execution.

I’m a Lexington, Kentucky–based creative who works across photography, video, web, and creative direction. At the core of everything I do is one goal: helping ideas feel clear, intentional, and human.

I don’t believe great creative starts with tools or trends. It starts with understanding who something is for, what it needs to communicate, and how it should feel when someone experiences it.

How I got here

My creative journey started early, through a mix of technology and visual curiosity. I discovered photography in high school, where I learned the fundamentals and quickly realized how powerful images could be as a form of communication. Around the same time, I developed a deep interest in technology — an interest that would shape how I approach creative work to this day.

I went on to study Integrated Strategic Communication at the University of Kentucky, with a focus in creative advertising. That education gave me a foundation in strategy, storytelling, and audience-first thinking — skills that continue to guide my work long after graduation.

Experience that translates to real projects

Since then, I’ve worked with over 50 clients across Kentucky and beyond, partnering with individuals, brands, and teams at different stages of growth. In parallel, I work as a Senior Creative Designer at Sommsation — a tech-forward wine company — where I help shape brand visuals, content, and campaigns.

That mix of client work and in-house experience has taught me how creative decisions play out in the real world: beyond launch day, beyond aesthetics, and into long-term use.

What it’s like to work together:

Clients often tell me they value how calm and collaborative the process feels. I’m thoughtful about asking the right questions early, honest about what will (and won’t) make an impact, and focused on delivering work that actually gets used.

I see my role as both creative partner and guide — helping you zoom out when needed, then zoom back in to execute with confidence.

You can expect:

  • A Relaxed shoot environment

  • Thoughtful direction

  • Reliable, grounded execution

Outside the work

When I’m not working, I’m usually at home with my dogs, Duke and Koda, out taking landscape photos, or deep in conversations about technology and creativity. Those interests influence how I see the world — and quietly shape how I approach my work.

They remind me that the best creative feels lived-in, not forced.

Let’s Chat

If you’re working on something that feels exciting, unclear, or bigger than one decision, I’d love to hear about it. Sometimes the most valuable first step is simply having the right conversation.
